Discover Personal Story Voice

It has been a month after a two-month break since I transitioned from college to the workforce, I'm here today, stepping into the light, sharing my voice unreservedly. It's time to stand tall and showcase my abilities to the world.

As someone who has received feedback on my communication and speaking skills, I actively with and tackle this feedback openly. I acknowledge that English is not my native language, and my accent has been shaped by my four years living in the United States. I see this aspect—my unique accent and perspective derived from living in another country—as a part of my identity and a distinctive trait. I firmly believe this uniqueness adds value to my work and fully accept and embrace it. Though I recognize that my accent poses a challenge, it is a continuous source of motivation to enhance and refine my communication skills. I am determined to use this feedback as a driving force to improve my speaking abilities and overall communication. This approach turns what could be a challenge into a positive motivator for my personal and professional growth.

Over these four years, I've never stopped learning, practicing, and growing, not just in hard skills in creative but also in communication and presentation. I am aware of these questions—can I hustle in a team, especially in the fast-paced advertising world? But let me make it clear—I am not just an individual contributor but an exceptional team player.

I have proven my capability to communicate efficiently and work collaboratively with a team, which stands as a testament to my unwavering passion and dedication. My constant drive to innovate, inspire, and contribute to the team's success is fueled by my past accomplishments.

As time passed, I noticed an increasing occurrence of this issue, which led me to share my own experience to highlight the empowerment it can provide for those struggling with insecurities about their accents or voices. It's important to embrace our unique voices and find strength in them. Everyone's voice is valuable, regardless of accent or nuances. I hope sharing my experience will encourage others to be confident in their own unique voice and speak out boldly. As my friend Jalen said, "Our voices matter, and we should speak them out loud." I stand strong in my aspirations and encourage others to do the same.
